What stays on your device

Legends At Bat stores a small amount of configuration locally:

  • Your AI source choice: Apple Intelligence or External AI.
  • Your external provider endpoint and permission state, if configured.
  • Your external provider API key, stored in the device Keychain.

The app does not require an account and does not send these settings or your API key to Simtelligence Inc.

Apple Intelligence and Private Cloud Compute

When you select Apple Intelligence, Legends At Bat chooses between two Apple processing routes:

On device

Single-Legend questions use Apple’s on-device Foundation Model. Multi-Legend questions also fall back to this model when secure cloud processing is unavailable.

Private Cloud Compute

Multi-Legend questions may use Apple’s more capable server model when Private Cloud Compute is enabled and available for the app, device, and account.

When Private Cloud Compute is used, your question, selected Legend names, and the app-generated instructions and context needed to answer are sent to Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system.

Apple states that Private Cloud Compute uses personal data only to fulfill the request, does not make that data available to Apple staff, and does not retain it after the response is returned.

How Apple protects Private Cloud Compute data

Legends At Bat does not route Apple Intelligence requests through Simtelligence servers and does not receive or store their contents.

External AI is optional

You can instead configure a compatible external AI provider using your own endpoint and API key. Before the first external request, Legends At Bat asks for explicit permission.

If you allow it, the app sends the following directly to the endpoint you configured:

  • Your question.
  • The selected Legend name or names.
  • The app-generated instructions and context needed to create the answer.

Your API key is used to authenticate that request with your provider. It is not sent to Simtelligence Inc. The external provider processes requests under its own terms and privacy policy.

How request data is used

Request data is used to generate the answer you asked for. Simtelligence Inc. does not collect your questions or answers and does not use them for advertising, tracking, analytics, profiling, model training, or sale.

Apple Private Cloud Compute and external providers are separate processing routes. Choosing Apple Intelligence does not disclose your external API key, and choosing External AI does not route the request through Simtelligence.

Retention and your controls

AI source, endpoint, and permission settings remain on your device until you change them. An external API key remains in Keychain until you replace or clear it in AI Settings. Keychain items may persist after an app is deleted and later reinstalled.

Reset Cloud AI Permission revokes permission for future external requests, but it does not delete your endpoint or API key. Clear those fields separately if you want to remove the saved configuration.

Simtelligence has no server-side account or request history to delete. For data handled by an external AI provider, contact that provider directly.
