Privacy Policy

Legends At Bat is intentionally quiet. It does not collect analytics, tracking data, advertising identifiers, account information, contact information, location, photos, or device identifiers for Simtelligence Inc.

Data Collection

The app stores a small amount of configuration locally on the user's device:

  • AI source preference: whether the user selected on-device AI or Cloud AI.
  • Cloud AI configuration: the configured provider/endpoint and Cloud AI permission state.
  • API key: if the user enters a Cloud AI API key, it is stored in the device Keychain.

On-Device AI

When the user uses on-device AI, requests are processed by Apple Intelligence/System Language Model on the user's device. In this mode, Legends At Bat does not send the user's question to Simtelligence Inc. or to a third-party AI provider.

Cloud AI

Cloud AI is optional and requires the user to provide their own endpoint/API key. Before the app sends any Cloud AI request, it asks for explicit permission inside the app.

If the user allows Cloud AI, Legends At Bat sends the following directly to the selected or configured Cloud AI provider:

  • The user's question.
  • The selected Legend name or names.
  • App-generated prompt/context needed to create the answer.

The recipient is the Cloud AI provider selected or configured by the user, such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, xAI, Groq, Mistral, or a compatible custom provider endpoint.

The app does not send API keys to Simtelligence Inc. API keys are used only to authenticate requests to the user's configured Cloud AI provider.

Use of Data

Data sent to a Cloud AI provider is used to generate the requested answer in the app. Legends At Bat does not use this data for advertising, tracking, analytics, profiling, or sale.

Cloud AI providers may process requests according to their own terms and privacy policies. Simtelligence Inc. expects third-party AI providers used with the app to provide the same or equal protection of user data as described in this policy and as required by Apple's App Review Guidelines.

Retention and Deletion

Legends At Bat stores Cloud AI settings and permission state locally until the user changes or removes them. API keys remain in the device Keychain until replaced, removed by the user, or removed when the app is deleted according to iOS Keychain behavior.

Users can revoke Cloud AI permission in the app's AI Settings by selecting "Reset Cloud AI Permission." After permission is reset, the app will not send Cloud AI requests again unless the user grants permission again.

To delete local app data, users can remove the app from their device. To request deletion of data held by a third-party Cloud AI provider, users should contact that provider directly.
